another stage for these talents to express themselves.

Meet five rising creatives from within the community,
we're passing them the mic - so they can drop it.
We'll continue to support them throughout the year and we hope you will, too.

MEET THE TALENT

@WAY_OF_YAW

Pronouns: He / Him
Pro Makeup Artist

Yaw began his make up career working behind the counter for NYX Professional Makeup. Growing his skills and techniques to establish himself as a key creator and influencer within the Beauty Industry.

His bold and colourful make up, inspired by Ghanaian Culture has broken boundaries, creating iconic and unique looks.
Proving that deep dark skin tones can achieve pigmented looks and inspiring all make up lovers to experiment outside of their comfort zones.

Yaw is now an established Beauty Creator working with recognised brands across global campaigns. Yaw embodies his title of the King Of Colour and continues to move forward in the Beauty Industry as an inspiration for upcoming Black creatives and beauty enthusiasts.

Tiktok Star

Lily openly admits: she started social media as a joke. Having just dropped out of school and not having many friends, she thought why not? Next thing she knew, her platform had blown up and she is a role model for thousands of individuals, constantly inspiring them to be their true selves all while racking up a cool 127m likes and 1.7m fans on TikTok alone.

Actor & Intersex Equality Campaigner

Ki Griffin is an actor best known for playing the role of Ripley Lennox in the popular TV show Hollyoaks. Ki is openly non-binary and intersex. From an early age, Ki was aware that they were unique and welcomed the eventual revelation of their intersex status. Finally a confirmation of how they felt. Ki explains: “LGBTQIA+. What does the 'I' stand for? It stands for me: an intersex person. My name is Ki Griffin, my pronouns are they/he – that’s quite new – and I’m a Black, queer, non-binary, intersex person.”
Already garnering much attention from producers and directors across Europe and USA, the World is yet to see the full extent of Ki’s talent both as an actor and as an activist.

Singer, Songwriter & Drag Artist

Jason is a dark pop singer-songwriter and a youth worker who supports LGBTQIA+ young people who are experiencing homelessness. As a queer, non-binary, British-Hong Kong performer, Jason champions queer-Asian narratives in his music and advocacy. He's gearing up to release his new single in 2022. Pro Weapon & Stunt Performer

Ayesha Hussain is a British Asian Multi-disciplined athlete, stuntwoman and weapons specialist. Ayesha is a modern renaissance woman, a faucet of self-expression and a powerhouse of talent.

Inspired by her ancestors from her Rajput heritage, she is wildly personable, unfiltered and a self-assured athlete and stuntwoman. Her thrill-seeking lifestyle has caught the attention of casting directors which has enabled her to star in productions such as: The Little People, Black Mirror & Brassic. As well as her success in movies & television she has also fronted fashion campaigns for Christopher Kane, Diesel, Superdry & Sweaty Betty.

Her profile is quickly gaining traction as one of the only South Asian athletes to break into mainstream entertainment and fashion. Ayesha utilises her social media platform as a safe community to promote conversations around; wellness, self-defence, positivity, feminism and race.

As South Asian women are commonly not recognised for participating in the fitness sector, the South London native is breaking both cultural and gender boundaries.
