A pro tip is to apply a swatch of the lipstick to the tip of your finger rather than the back of your hand as this area has a more blue/red undertone like your lips - this will be more a true representation of what the colour will look like on your lips! We also recommend you try out our virtual try on tool on our website. You can try any colour you like on as if in real life to find your perfect shade.
We have an amazing range of foundations to suit anyone and their skin needs. We would recommend starting out with knowing what you want out of your product. Our Born to Glow foundation is more suited for people who want a medium to buildable coverage with radiance to the skin whilst our Can’t Stop Won’t Stop foundation is catered to people who like a full coverage, matte foundation. We also have our Total Control Pro foundation which gives you ultimate control of your coverage whilst giving a demi matte finish. Each foundation is amazing for all skin types and tones. To achieve a full-coverage result we recommend using a dense buffing brush in circular tapping motions that will allow you to blend the products evenly and flawlessly on your skin. For a light to medium coverage use a loosened brush to diffuse the products all over your face in a very natural and blended way to achieve the perfect no-makeup makeup look!
We would always recommend a primer as they have skin benefits, extend the wear of your makeup & can enhance the finish of your foundation. We have primers for a variety of skin types, desired finishes and benefits for you to choose from that will perfect your overall look.
Unfortunately, makeup will not completely get rid of dark circles however we do have products that will help minimise this. We recommend using a colour correcting product like our Colour Correcting Palette. Your skin tone will depend on what colour you use to conceal your ‘dark circles’. If you have a fair to medium skin tone you would use peach and for medium to deep skin tones you would use orange. You will want to use this sparingly as you do not need a lot of colour correcting product. If you put too much on an area then it won’t cover with concealer. We then recommend going over this with our Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Concealer in your skin tone concealer to cover the corrector. Finally set with our Can’t Stop Won’t Stop setting powder for a flawless finish.
For a fuller pout look we recommend using our Slim Lip pencil or Suede Matte lip pencils in a colour of your choice. Typically we would say to use a liner one to two shades deeper than your lipstick or lip colour to create a shadowed effect. Use your pencil to line slightly over your natural lip line to create a fuller pout then fill in with your lipstick of choice.
The concealer shade you choose should be two tones lighter than your foundation with the same undertone as your skin, this will give you a natural highlighting effect. For contouring we recommend choosing a shade four to five shades darker to create a natural looking contour and sculpt your face. You can build up the products by adding more layers according to the result you want to achieve.
A general rule to remember when it comes to contour and highlighting - contour is where shadows naturally fall on the face and highlight is where the light naturally hits your face. Typically we will highlight our cheekbones, bridge of the nose, forehead and sometimes the chin area and typically we will contour under the cheekbones, sides of the nose, perimeter of the forehead and the jawline. We recommend using our Highlight and Contour Pro Palette to achieve your desired look. Book in for a virtual consultation with one of our makeup artists to help make you a pro!
We would recommend our Epic Ink liner to create the perfect winged liner, with its fine point tip you can create a seamless wing. Start by following your bottom lash line in an upwards stroke as big as you would like. Then we would recommend starting 3/4 of the way in on your line you’ve created and drag the liner back to the eye. Finish by drawing a thin line along your top lash line to connect the wing and there you have a perfect winged liner!
To achieve the perfect red lip we recommend having a red liner as well as red lipstick. Start off by using your Suede Matte lip pencil to line your lips on top and bottom. A pro tip to help make your lipstick last longer is to line all over your top and bottom lip so you have a base colour. Then using your Suede Matte lipstick, fill in the rest of the lips. For more precision, use our pro flat detail brush to apply your lipstick. To finish off if you are daring, add a Butter Gloss to the lip!
There are five different skin types that you can identify with, these include: normal, combination, dry, dehydrated and oily. For each one there are identifiers that allow you to figure out which one you have. If you tend to have a shiny complexion specifically in the t-zone area you will have oily skin. If you have flaky, tight or scaly skin you will have dry skin. If you have shiny and dry areas on your skin you will have combination skin. Dehydrated skin is typically the hardest to identify. If you feel like after washing your face with water or being in the shower your skin feels tight but throughout the day gets slightly oily, you will most likely have dehydrated skin. This is because your skin is lacking hydration so will produce oil to compensate. If you don’t experience any of these with your skin you will have a normal skin type. Our pro artists can help you identify which type you are through our virtual consultations as well as the perfect primer and foundation for your skin, book in online today for a personalised recommendation.
We recommend you stand in front of natural light or as a bright place as possible. Apply your chosen product or products and move around to see the shade with different settings and light. If you feel unsure which colour to go for, one of our makeup artists will be happy to help you find the perfect match for you.
Using an eyeshadow primer before applying your eyeshadows or liners will create a flawless base to bring out the best colour payoff, as well as extending the wear of your eye look.
The best way to achieve long-lasting makeup for every occasion is to apply your primer first and wait about 30 seconds before applying your foundation to make it stick and melt into your skin perfectly. After that always remember to apply all cream products first - such as concealers, contouring, blushes or highlighters - before any powder product. Set your foundation with loose or pressed powder if your skin tends to be more oily to make sure your products won't move around and achieve the best longevity of your look!
