Well hydrating[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lip gloss has both positive aspects and a few drawbacks. On the positive side, my lips feel smooth and hydrated just a few minutes after application, and the gloss stays on for hours. It has a lightweight formula with almost no scent. The color appears very intense right after applying, so it's best to wait a minute for it to settle in. Alternatively, you might want to use a tissue to lightly dab off some excess. One downside is that I wish the packaging included a brush or a smaller applicator for better control over the amount of product applied. Overall, it is very hydrating but could use some improvement in the applicator design.

Good[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product. It is a beautiful bright color. Although, it doesn’t look like the packaging when you apply it on your lips. Overall, it does stain your lips. I love every product from nyx like always, never disappoints.

Not Hydrating[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Lip IV Hydrating Gloss Stain from NYX and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. My opinion is my own and based on my experiences using this product as both a gloss and a stain. I received the color Red-y.Set.Wet which is a bold and vivid shade. This product claims on their website that it “provides moisturizing and hydrating properties plus the color absorbing effects of a lip stain. It says it can provide up to 12 hours of hydration like a lip serum. When I applied the shade, it was easy to use the applicator. My lips were a strong shade of red, but not as glossy as I expected. It didn’t feel super sticky but it also wasn’t as comfortable as I’d hoped from something described as hydrating and like a serum. When left on for 10 minutes, you can blot off the color and it’s supposed to leave a lip stain. I thought it made my lips look drier and that the stain was very uneven. While I liked the color, the product didn’t live up to the claims for me. When something is marketed as super hydrating- even called Lip IV, the bar is set high for me. I also did not like the way this looked as a stain. The price point is good for the amount you get. It left me wanting to apply an additional hydrating balm after I removed the gloss to wear it as a stain. I could see people liking this for the shade range and the color payoff. It’s not goopy and it does look and feel like a quality product. It just didn’t perform or hydrate as advertised for me.

Amazing pigment in a gloss![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this amazing color from NYX! This lip IV hydrating gloss stain is an amazing pop of color in a gloss! I’m impressed! It feels a bit like a plumping gloss, but it’s not unbearable (I dislike those). I love the pigment and think this looks like as is or over top of your fav lip color. I have to get these for my makeup kit!

Great![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lip gloss is super shiny and is very pigmented! It’s also a thin formula so it’s not too thick and sticky. It does stain your lips pretty well but I personally am not a fan of the color it leaves on my lips but that’s a personal preference. Would like to try other colors.
